Jenny McCarthy Launches Vegan Cosmetics Line

Formless Beauty's three lipglosses debut today—more formulas to follow.

Celebrity anti-vaxxer Jenny McCarthy is promoting more pseudo-science—a vegan cosmetics line. Formless Beauty debuted today with three lipglosses. Formulas contain shea butter and grapefruit seed extract.

“Ingredients you can pronounce!” McCarthy told People. “It's lipgloss, you know, its on your mouth. You're ingesting it.”

Consumers may be eating lipgloss, but they're also doing something good for their souls, too. Each shade of pink is named with a specific intention: Manifest, Dream and Love, according to the company.

While Formless Beauty is starting off with lipgloss, McCarthy is already product planning for the future.

“I've learned so much through this process. I now know how much science is still evolving, and we're still discovering what happens when certain things enter our system — that's something I'm keeping in mind as I expand the product line,” she told People. “My mission is to crack the code and have cosmetics be not only amazing and beautiful, but healthy. I want you to choose my brand because yes it looks great, but it's good for you.”

Nevermind that “vegan” doesn't mean all that much in the beauty industry. In recent months, multinationals such as L'Oréal and Lush, and indie brands like BH Cosmetics have jumped on the vegan bandwagon.
